The Variance Request Is Not For Relief From A Self-Imposed Hardship
We are not attempting to ask you to relieve us of a self-imposed hardship. A choice was made of the municipality in its land use planning and designated uses. We have come to the community, established that we can work within the community to help you in terms of your traffic safety, economic growth, and aesthetics. We now need your consideration of this variance request to allow us to put up an additional sign on the east side of the Pier 1 building. We have requested a size that is of the minimum size it needs to be in order to be safe. There is every compelling reason that the variance should be granted.
